Addictive Eaters Anonymous
Addictive Eaters Anonymous (AEA) is a worldwide Twelve Step fellowship based on Alcoholics Anonymous. AEA members have found recovery from binge eating, anorexia, bulimia, other forms of addictive eating and compulsive exercise. Through working the Twelve Steps of AEA, members find peace of mind and the ability to live a meaningful and productive life.
Wherever you are, whatever your problem with food,
AEA can help.
By attending AEA meetings regularly, getting a sponsor, working the steps, keeping in contact with sober members, and carrying the message of recovery to the still suffering addictive eater, members are freed from addictive eating and the obsession with food.
Sobriety in AEA
Sobriety in AEA is freedom from addictive eating and all mind-altering substances. As a result of sobriety, AEA members have found recovery from binge eating, anorexia, bulimia, other forms of addictive eating and compulsive exercise.
A sponsor is a sober member of AEA who shares their experience, strength, and hope with a sponsee that they may achieve sobriety. AEA sponsors freely share how they recovered from eating addictively and how they continue to stay sober through working the Steps, which serve as AEA’s common solution.
AEA members meet on a regular basis to share their experience, strength and hope with each other, that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from addictive eating.
