Who are we and what do we do?
Addictive Eaters Anonymous General Service Trust is the representative body of the worldwide fellowship of Addictive Eaters Anonymous. We are run by members in a voluntary capacity.
The right to anonymity is a core principle of Addictive Eaters Anonymous. We fully respect your rights to privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information by strictly adhering to privacy laws, including the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What we collect
We collect personally identifiable information that you provide to us, which is information that identifies you as an individual. This information may include your name, address or location, email address and phone number.
How we use your personal information and the legal basis for doing so
Any personal information that you provide will be used only for the purpose of providing the services and supports that we offer. We are not affiliated with any other companies, bodies or entities of any kind and we will never share or disclose your personal data or information with any third parties outside of Addictive Eaters Anonymous.
As engagement with Addictive Eaters Anonymous is entirely voluntary, we process personal information based on your consent.

Retention of information
We may retain your information for as long as needed to provide you with services, comply with our legal obligations and resolve disputes.

We never share your personal information with any third parties. In accordance with our Traditions, we are not associated with, or affiliated to, any other body, entity or organization of any kind.

Right to erasure – in certain circumstances, you can ask for the data we hold about you to be erased from our records
Right to restriction of processing – where certain conditions apply you have a right to restrict the processing by us of your data
Right of portability – subject to certain restrictions, you have the right to have the data we hold about you transferred to another organization or to receive a copy of the information where we hold it in electronic form.
Right to object – you have the right to object to certain types of processing. Please note that we do not engage in direct marketing of any kind and do not disclose or share your personal data with any third party. Any correspondence that we send you will be requested directly by you.

Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to provide information and support to you. We are a worldwide organization and run by our members. That means your data may be processed outside your home country. If we process your information outside of the UK and the EEA, we will adhere to the same legal standards.
